Here is a trailer/teaser/montage/showcase of Dim3000's Soldiers vs. Zombies server. The server revolves around it's plugins and community. Below is further information on how the server works.

Q: How do I play?
A: When the game starts, all players will be randomly put on a team (zombies/soldiers) will have some time to prepare before the zombie outbreak occurs.

If you are a:

Zombie: Your job is to infect/kill all the soldiers. You are well armored and
regenerate health over time.
Your only weapon is your "Zombie Pickaxe" which you can use to attack the soldiers
and break their defences (Wooden Fences). If you die, you become a Ghost.

Soldier: You must survive the zombie onslaught! You are armed with Swords and Bows but have low armor and don't regain health much so watch out. In addition you get a single HEALTH potion so use it wisely! You can also place defences (Wooden Fences) to assist you. If a zombie kills you, you become a zombie as well, but a natural death results in you becoming a Ghost.

Ghost: Welcome to the Ghost Realm. You can't attack or be attacked by anyone but can cause mischief. You get Flint+Steel which you can use to relight the Netherrack under unsuspecting players. Also don't forget that you can try to block or push players.

When all the soldiers are infected or all the zombies are dead, a new round begins.
